Joseph Dobson, MD, FAAFP, CMD, HMDC
Dr. Dobson is the owner of Dobson Family Medicine in Cheyenne, where he has provided compassionate family care since completing his Family Practice Residency locally in 1996. A graduate of Eastern Virginia Medical School, Dr. Dobson earned his MD in 1993 and holds Board Certification in Family Medicine.
He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, a Certified Nursing Home Medical Director, and a Certified Hospice Medical Director. Currently, he sees patients part-time at Dobson Family Medicine.

In addition to his clinic work, Dr. Dobson has served as the Medical Director of Polaris Skilled Nursing Facility in Cheyenne for over 20 years and as the Medical Director of Enhabit Hospice for more than five years. He is also a member of the medical staff at the Cheyenne VA Medical Center. His professional interests focus on Mental Health, Adult ADHD, Hospice, and Dementia Care.

Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Dobson values time with family and travel. He and his wife, Kirstin, have been married for 36 years and have four adult children, all born in Cheyenne, and one grandson.
Kristen Trefren, DNP, FNP-C, BC, GS-C
Bernard Yego,DNP, APRN, MBA , BS
Kristen is the newest member of the Dobson Family Medicine team. A Cheyenne native, she returned to her hometown after serving in the U.S. Navy to pursue a nursing career. In 2015, she earned her doctorate as a Nurse Practitioner from the University of Wyoming and has been dedicated to providing compassionate, quality care to the Cheyenne community ever since.

As one of only a few certified geriatric nurse practitioners in Wyoming, Kristen is uniquely qualified to care for patients of all ages, bringing expertise in family medicine and a strong commitment to supporting elderly patients. With her additional certification as a Dementia Care Specialist from UCLA, she is passionate about helping individuals and families facing Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia.
Kristen also makes home visits for those who are unable to travel to the clinic and offers both primary care and consultation services for patients seeking a second opinion.

In addition to her medical work, Kristen serves in the U.S. Navy Reserve, where she has dedicated over 20 years. Outside of work, she enjoys competitive shooting, traveling, and cheering on her 13, 12, and 6 year old children at their hockey games. She is engaged to a fellow sailor, sharing her commitment to service both at home and abroad.
Bernard Yego is a board-certified nurse practitioner with over twelve years of diverse experience in the healthcare field. His career began as an emergency room technician, followed by a role as a registered nurse in various environments, including medical-surgical, emergency care, and geriatrics. For the past three years,
Bernard has been practicing as a nurse practitioner, currently serving as a primary care provider at a skilled nursing facility and Dr. Dobson Clinic, where he provides compassionate care to patients of all ages, from children to seniors.
Bernard earned his Associate Degree in Nursing from Western Nebraska Community College in 2015, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Mary, and completed his Doctorate in Nursing Practice in 2021.
He also holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Mary.

Outside of his professional life, Bernard is a dedicated father to three boys aged 4, 8, and 11, all born in Wyoming. He enjoys running, camping, and visiting his home country of Kenya with his wife at least once every two years.
